Taliiiiiiii!!!!!!!

The subject line is from when I went to my friend Tali's house in Albany. She was showing me where the bed was and where I could sleep, and her mom kept calling out to her from the kitchen. Tali would be speaking...

"Well, here's the bathroom, and you can put this here, and--"

{muffled, Mom shouting from downstairs} "TALIIIIIIII!!!!"

{Tali, shouting back from right next to me} "MaaaAAAAAAAAA????"

"(a bunch of rapid-fire Hebrew from Mom)"

"(more Hebrew in response from Tali)...Ok, and there are towels in this closet here, and--"

"TALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!"

"MaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAA????"

"(another bunch of rapid-fire Hebrew follows here from Mom)"

"(again some Hebrew in response from Tali)...you can use this shampoo, here, and--"

"TALIIIIIIII!!!" (and so on for several more times.)

Her mother was yelling the basic random mother stuff, it wasn't anything real important, you know, like "Remember to show him where the towels are" and "Don't forget to give him some shampoo" and so on.

I asked Tali what "Ma" meant in Hebrew; she said it means "what?".

From context, I guess this is not surprising.
