My Trip to Tampa (1)

Craig was going to have another birthday, as he usually does around this time of year, and Janet thought it would be cool if I could show up and surprise him.

Also, Janet said she'd be willing to have Bandit and Shadow come live with her. So I set off to the airport, with Bandit traveling as cargo and Shadow traveling in the cabin. They have you take the cat out of the carrier and you carry her through the metal detector; I can only assume that Bandit went through the baggage X-ray and they got a good look at her insides.

Shaene was glad to see me! We went to USF, and loaded Bandit and Shadow in Janet's truck. Shaene went back to work for her meeting, and I headed off to New Tampa in the sport-utility, which is the most appropriate vehicle for New Tampa's wide, well-paved boulevards.

Janet had told me earlier about Christmas Cat, and she had also said something about some other outside cat (named "Other Cat", but sometimes also known as "Outside Cat") who lived in the neighborhood. She said she had made friends with this cat as well.

When I got to the house, this cat, who had never seen me before in my life, calmly walked up and started following me around.

Apparently his thinking was "Well, you came in the red-haired lady's truck, and you are parked in the red-haired lady's driveway, so the red-haired lady must have sent you to feed me."

The highly paranoid Half-and-Half Cat was keeping watch in the window. But it was plain that all Janet's other cats still recognized me, as you can see from these dynamic reaction shots.
