Stadium

The UB Outdoor Adventure Club (OAC) has an obligation that is unique among student organizations. After each football game, we clean the stadium. I think it is a fine fit between the "Leave No Trace" wilderness camping philosophy of OAC, and the physical stamina and public spirit of the club members. In return, the University essentially doubles the club budget, which lets us run more trips and do more exciting things, such as the rafting trip.

Since winning teams mean better-attended games, and thus more trash, we are also the only people at the university besides the Multicultural Peace Studies Department who secretly root against the football team.

Ready to go!

Lauren sweeps with pride.

Dinner

Some folks from the Newman Center had a turkey roast and cookout, and called us over to clean up the leftovers. We helped out, in our usual public-spirited way.

Mike T. is quite fastidious and always carefully picks his teeth.

The Outdoor Indenture Club is often assisted by other members of the University community who have transgressed against certain rules, commonly the ones governing intoxicating liquors in the residence halls.

When we've finished the 100 and 200 levels, we move on to the 300s.

Mateo lets off some... steam.

Shovels and rakes and implements of destruction.

Our noble leader in his environmentally-friendly jalopy.

All finished, we head off into the gathering darkness, taking pride in a job well done.
