Christmas NYC 2003

I got an early start. So early, in fact, that I got there before the flight crew, and they showed up shortly after I got to the gate.

The population of the aircraft was me, two girls, the flight attendant, and the two pilots. So there was a one-to-one ratio of crew to passengers.

On the way into La Guardia, I got some aerials. First there was this little island in the Sound which I don't recognize.

Then we flew over City Island, which I recognized from having been there. My dad's retirement dinner was at the seafood restaurant which is the red-roofed building at the center -- first building on the right after you come over the bridge onto the island.

I got a long shot of the Throgs Neck Bridge, and then there's this closer shot of the toll plaza. Viva EZ-Pass.

Dunno what this little park is.

And here's the landing sequence.

We arrived in New York and got to see how they trick the people in the terminal into thinking they're getting to fly on one of the big fancy jets.
